Camping @ Mistletoe State Park

We got on the road at about 9am heading up to Clarks Hill Lake, we arrived around 1pm set up camp at Mistletoe State Park, and headed over to the Amity boat ramp where the ABA (American Bass Anglers) tournament was going to be having their weigh ins at 3 o'clock. Drove up at 2pm place was a ghost town, this thing had been over for hours. Didn't get any footage, but we made the best of it, brand new tent was nice, woke up in the middle of the night in a tremendous wind storm, keely and I rushed to put the fly on, well Keely did most of it, I couldn't see a damn thing. put it on right as it started to sprinkle, then it stopped, better safe then sorry I guess. It was fun, ate beans out of a can and stuffed myself with smores. Thought Winthrop would like sleeping out under the stars, but he was in the tent ten minutes later.

More Aquarium pics BUYA

So, I found the boat...

So i found the boat. It was the night before the reenactment. Tyler and I made the hour long trip up to Beaufort, SC. I should also mention it was ten at night and we were looking for a street with no name. surprisingly enough we found it, the last line of directions we were given was, "turn off into the field, drive between the trees, and the boats by the lake." So there we are in the pitch black driving through somebodies yard. In the distance out headlights danced apon a watery surface and then we saw it. The largest wooden row boat i have ever scene. you could hunt whales in this thing, it was over 16 feet long and well over two hundred pounds, it was longer than the damn truck we drove up there. But still in the grips of absolute denial Tyler and I dragged the mammoth vessel out of the lake and to the back of the truck, we even went as far as lifting the bow of the boat and resting it on the bumper. We looked at eachother and broke into hysterical laughter, dragged the bastard boat back to the waters edge and got some fast food to fill the void were our row boat once lay.

So we shot he reenactment with out a boat, footage came out beautiful, and i can honestly say I'm pretty pleased. I'm trying to get someone to cover my shift so i can shoot a bass tournament tomorrow, but it's not looking promising.
